Coloristics is the science of color. Colors in nature are divided into primary and secondary. Primary: yellow, blue, red.
Secondary - those colors that are obtained by mixing primary colors: green, orange, violet. Color wheel.
This circle is not complete, because here on a contour there is no black color, therefore such circle will be incomplete. Full color circle includes chromatic and achromatic colors.
Achromatic colors are neutral, background colors. The whole range of white, black, gray colors. Pastel color - any bright color diluted with white.
Mixing chromatic color with black increases its saturation. Colors located in the color wheel opposite each other and are called complementary (contrasting). It is the combination of complementary colors in makeup gives the effect of neutralization (when working with cream, liquid correctors). That is, when contrasting colors are superimposed on each other, they are mutually absorbed. When placing contrasting colors with each other, they are mutually reinforced.
If yellow is added to any color, the color gets warmer. If blue is added to any color, the color becomes cooler.
Light colors have the effect of increasing volume. Dark colors have the effect of shrinking, reducing.
